London & Chianca
Pet Peeves is a comic strip about how family life can get pretty hairy. Artist Dave London is an award-winning cartoonist and illustrator — and active member of the National Cartoonists Society — whose clients include the Wall Street Journal, the Saturday Evening Post, and Reader’s Digest. Writer Pete Chianca has been recognized with multiple awards for his humorous columns and commentary, and is also the author of the book Glory Days: Springsteen’s Greatest Albums. Pet Peeves debuted in February 2016 and was distributed by Gannett’s More Content Now news service to daily newspapers in 260 communities in 46 states across the U.S. and Guam.
The first three years of strips were published as Pet Peeves, the book, in April 2019, with the second collection, More Social Than Distant, debuting in March 2021, and a collection of single panels, Aren’t You Finished Yet?, published in 2022. In June of 2024, they published the third Pet Peeves collection, “Nerd Dad!” Both Dave and Pete live in Massachusetts where they also host the Strip Search comic strip podcast.
