Scott Pierce
As an only child, Scott grew up in the absolute best era of comics in the 70s and 80s. The first ever comic he remembers is Fantastic Four 186 featuring the Salem’s Seven. Not having siblings, Scott had to rely on his imagination to push through loneliness creating numerous back stories for his action figures, including Darth Vader as Luke’s father (yup, way before Empire). He wrote and drew several mini comics featuring his original characters that was distributed in junior high and was an avid role-playing nerd well into his 20s.
From 2005-2015 until she passed, Scott’s wife had a copious amount of health problems, many keeping her in a hospital for months at a time. During the months and days spent in her room, ERs and ICUs, Scott wrote and created the characters from Ultra City, a collection of severely flawed amalgamations of the characters he grew up with having a serious slant towards humor. She read it and thought it was hilarious. Tales From Ultra City was originally intended as a novel, but with Power Comics already established, Scott could finally tell some of these goofy stories visually.
